The Meta-analysis Group and Cochrane Collaboration

Cochrane Collaboration LogoThe Cochrane Collaboration is an international network of people helping healthcare providers, policy makers, patients, their advocates and carers, make well-informed decisions about human health care by preparing, updating and promoting the accessibility of (Cochrane) systematic reviews. The Meta-analysis Group has been associated with the Collaboration since its earliest days, being jointly responsible for setting up the IPD Meta-analysis Methods Group.

Our Cochrane activities include:

  • Acting as peer reviewers and methodological advisors for several Cochrane Review Groups
  • Co-convening the IPD Meta-analysis Methods Group
  • Running workshops and providing other training and advice on IPD meta-analysis methods to members at Cochrane Colloquia and UK meetings
  • Serving on advisory committees and boards
